Privacy Policy

Skill Harbor collects information you provide directly: your name, email address, and the career history you enter into your vault (employers, roles, accomplishments, skills, credentials, education, and community involvement).

Your career data is stored securely in a Convex database. Authentication is handled by Clerk, a third-party identity provider. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

Skill Harbor uses the following third-party services:

• Clerk for authentication and account management
• Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered career history import (when you choose to use the import feature)

We do not share your career data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party beyond what is required to operate the service.

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can delete your account at any time, which triggers a cascade deletion of all your career data from our systems. This deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or career data to anyone. Your vault is yours.

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Most of these actions are self-service inside your vault. For anything you cannot complete on your own, email feedback@skillharbor.net with the subject “Data Request.” We respond within 30 days.

Users in the EU/UK have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Users in California have rights under the CCPA.
